Business Trends of 2022 | John F. Davenport | Business Website

The new year is upon us! With every new year, there are new business trends that we need to look out for. Today we’re going to be looking at a couple of the best business trends to look out for in 2022.

Remote Work is the New Norm

With the pandemic raging on, we as a society have been forced to accept that things are changing. No longer is going to work and sitting in an office all day the new norm. Instead, people are going to work in a hybrid environment, both at home and in an office setting. It’s no longer going to be a mandate to work in an office, and as the pandemic continues and protocols are being lifted, there’s a shift in co-working spaces instead of a regular 9–5 job day.

Treating employees differently

As the years go on, employers are realizing that hiring and keeping employees is becoming more and more difficult. This leads to employers not only using signing and retention bonuses but also focusing on things to keep their employees for a longer period of time, like more flexible scheduling and maybe even some job perks. As companies move further into 2022, they’re going to have to re-evaluate their old way of reeling in new employees and changing with the culture.

Still dining off-premise

When the pandemic was at its worst, people found themselves utilizing apps such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, and other curbside mobile apps. As we continue foraging through the pandemic, restaurants have to find a way to make sure they perfect their ways of delivering food to people to ensure the best ways to go about giving people food are in place. People are realizing that they no longer want or need to go out and spend time at a restaurant when they could order in from the comfort of their own homes.

Solo Travel

Traveling for someone’s leisure has become more and more popular over the years, but traveling solo is a trend that’s just beginning to rise. Travel industries have to become aware of this shift in dynamics and be sure to start offering the correct services to meet their needs. Some solo travelers prefer to be incredibly social and would like an itinerary that reflects that, while others prefer to relax and be alone.

These are just a few of the many ways that the trends are looking to shift throughout 2022.
